What makes your jewelry different ?
All of my jewelry from LuxeCreations is handcrafted using the finest components and findings available. My basic crystals are genuine first quality Swarovski Crystals or first quality Czech crystals. I use no base metals,the Sterling Silver findings are .925 Sterling mostly from Indonesia and .999 Fine (97%-99% pure) Silver from Thailand. I also like to use 18k, 22k and 24k gold vermeil findings.Most gemstones are grade A A or AAA with little or no inclusions. We use Swarovski Crystal pearls, Freshwater pearls and occasionally Cultured pearls. All of my bracelets and necklaces are strung on 49 strand nylon coated wire for flexibility and added strength. All wrap wire is Sterling Silver, gold filled or gold vermeil as are clasp's and toggles.
Finally I will always tell you what you are purchasing. The product descriptions will always state what size crystals and beads I am using 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and in what combinations. You can feel satisfied that you are getting what you are paying for.
How do I clean my Swarovski crystal and Sterling Silver jewelry ?
All Swarovski crystal and .925 Bali Sterling Silver pieces are very durable. However Sterling Silver will tarnish with exposure to the elements and handling.
To keep your crystal sparkling all you need to do is wipe them with a soft cloth. This will remove the any residue and bring the luster back. If for some reason they need a little more effort a damp cloth should do just fine.
To preserve the natural patina of oxidide silver pieces you should not use liquid or paste cleaners or commercial cleaners. The best way to restore the luster to your piece is to use a silver polishing cloth (sunshine cloth). Store your piece in a pouch or plastic bag until the next time you wear it. The Hill Tribe Silver (Fine Silver or 99.7, 99.9) is a little different to clean. The best results can be gotten by using a soft cloth or Q tip and some fresh lime juice. The natural acid in the lime juice will lift the grime without harming the patina finish.
The best care for pearls and semi precious gemstones is to pull them through a soft cloth after wearing. This will remove the body oils and lotions. Do not use commercial cleaners or immerse in water as some of these stones are very porous.
Can I wear my jewelry all the time ?
You can wear your jewelry as you wish except for these recommended restrictions.
- Do not wear in the bath or shower.
- Do not wear swimming or to the beach.
- Be careful applying body lotion, sunscreen and perfume.Put your jewelry on last and clean when removed
How do I know what size bracelet to order ?
Fit a loose fitting string around your wrist right below the wrist bone, or where you feel comfortable wearing your bracelet and mark a point where it comes together. Measure the exact length, but do not add to it. When placing your order, please select exact wrist size from the options at checkout. If your size falls in between two sizes I would suggest to size up. I will size accordingly,please measure correctly.
Please do not confuse bracelet length with wrist size as they are not the same. Beads and finding diameters will reflect in sizing. In other words a 7" long bracelet will not fit the same and a bracelet sized for a 7" wrist. All sizing is guaranteed to your satisfaction. If you are not happy with the fit I will make it right for you.
What about necklace sizes ?
Most of my necklaces are made in two sizes either 16'" with a 2" extender chain to 18", or 18"in without the extender chain. Chokers are sized to approximately 16". Each product description will state the size.
How To Order Extended or Plus Sizing?
Most of my bracelets and necklaces can be re sized and ordered in Extended Sizes.Please contact me in advance with the item # and size requirements. Pricing will be quoted upon inquiry and subject to the piece design and available findings. Re sizing for extended or plus sizes is considered a custom order and cannot be returned. Basic guidelines are bracelets over 8" wrist size are considered extended sizes. Necklaces resized beyond 4" of original length are considered extended sizes.
Can I order other colors ?
If you find something you would like to order but in a different size, color, crystal or pearl please let me know. You can do this either in the comments section of your order or send an e mail to sales@LuxeCreations.com. There may be an additional charge for changing to larger beads or crystals. I will do our best to accommodate your request, there might be delays depending on availability of certain colors. And some one of a kind items cannot be changed. Can I order other bead combinations ?
While I have assembled what I think are some of the best designs and combinations around, you may make a special request. Keep in mind a lot of the Bali beads and Hill Tribe findings are not always available. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Please keep in mind that the recent increase in spot silver prices will increase your price if more silver is added.
What is a special order ?
A special order is when you would like an item that is sold out or no longer available. I will re create the item if I can. It may take an additional 7 - 10 days to fulfill.
What is a custom order?
I welcome all custom orders. Just contact me with your specific requirements and specifications for me to design your piece or pieces. I will send you photos for your final approval and always communicate to you any delays or problems. An example of this would be a custom designed bridal set or wedding party sets. Any piece re sized for Plus Sizing is considered a custom order. Custom orders require an additional 7- 10 days or more for delivery and are not returnable.
What is the difference between .925 Sterling Silver and Fine Silver?
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper.
It is probably the most recognized and is widely used in jewelry making.
Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing large functional objects but is suitable for silver smithing and hand working of smaller jewelry components and findings. And because it lacks the corrosive tendencies of copper it will not tarnish as easily.
What do the terms AB and 2XAB mean?
Swarovski Crystals are available in a variety of colors and finishes. The AB designation is short for Aurore Boreale, a complimentary material applied to 1/2 of the crystal to give it a translucent metallic finish. The bead will reflect light off of this in different colors depending on the angle of light.
The 2X AB is the same as above, but the coating is applied to the entire crystal instead of just half.
What is the difference between Swarovski Pearls and Freshwater Pearls?
Swarovski Crystal Pearls are created from leaded crystal. This technique allows for a heavier and more durable pearls. The coating is soft to the touch and consistent within the lots and real pearl finish. The Swarovski Crystal Pearls are not effected by everyday exposure to perfume, lotions, body oils or sunlight. These pearls emit a rich glowing color. Please see the color chart for available colors.
Freshwater pearls are cultured by freshwater mollusk. They are usually odd and not consistent in shape and are matched by size and color. These pearls are soft and porous and cannot be exposed to perfume, lotions, soaps and body oils without being cleaned after each wearing.
I use both types of pearls in my Luxe Creations designs. Depending on the style and composition of the piece. I will always inform you of what we are using in the description.
