Beautiful lemony lime green African Chrysoprase with a nice black matrix. These stones are free form faceted nuggets the largest being about 32mm x 22mm and the smallest being 22mm x 20mm. 8mm Black Onyx rounds and a Fine Silver Hill Tribe toggle finish the look. Strung on 49 strand sterling silver plated stainless steel wire.

This stone has been renowned as having unusual powers. In the Middle Ages, it was believed that if you put a piece of chrysoprase in your mouth, you would become invisible, and Romanian folklore claims chrysoprase enabled its owner to understand the language of lizards. Metaphysical characteristics attributed to the gemstone today include soothing heartache and loneliness, and promoting emotional balance. It also is said to relieve gout, eye problems and mental illness.
